How we build
Built from reality, tested on real hardware
- Every building, jetway and vehicle is modelled by us from real photos and video of the airport, then checked side by side against the real thing. If it doesn't match, it doesn't ship.
- No default or third-party objects. Everything you see is IGTEI's own work.
- Tested on a modest PC: GTX 1660 SUPER (6 GB) at 1080p.
- People, vehicles and traffic can be set to Off, Low, Medium or High, so it runs on your machine.

Changelog
v1.5 (October 2026)
Our biggest update so far. All updates are free for owners; IG PRO SIM Hub installs it with one click.
Needs IGTEI Airport Library v1.6 and the updated Add-on Pack (the Hub installs both for you).
New in 1.5
- Ground: rebuilt airport ground: the west side and the service areas follow the real pavement edges, and the asphalt has a natural, matte finish.
- Landside: roads, entrance bridges, street lights, traffic, people, trees and lawns around the terminal.
- Markings: every ground line is wider and clearer, and the wide service roads now have proper centre and lane lines.
- Lights: apron light masts in their real positions, and the building windows glow brighter and whiter at night.
- Details: asphalt around the tower, one minaret at the mosque as in reality, a fixed fence, gate entry signs, and no poles standing in the roads.
- Follow-Me (Add-on Pack): shows up ahead of your aircraft, keeps to your speed, lets you pick your stand from a menu, and you can call it or cancel it.
v1.4 (October 2026)
New airport ground and redrawn markings. All updates are free for owners; IG PRO SIM Hub installs it with one click.
Needs IGTEI Airport Library v1.5 (the Hub installs it for you).
New in 1.4
- New airport ground: asphalt and concrete follow the real pavement edges
- Sand and gravel between the taxiways blend into the X-Plane terrain at any time of day
- Taxi lines, taxi lights, hold lines and service-road markings redrawn against fresh imagery
- Four tunnels added, including the Khor Al Edaid road under runway 16R/34L, with ground vehicles driving through them
- AI traffic and follow-me cars follow the painted taxi lines
v1.3, the Professional version (October 2026)
This is the professional version we promised. All updates are free for owners. v1.3 and everything after it come through the IG PRO SIM Hub; if you bought on simMarket, see Moving to IG PRO SIM Hub.
Needs IGTEI Airport Library v1.3 (the Hub installs it for you).
Fixes
- Light poles that stood in the middle of aprons and on airside service lanes are gone. Aprons are lit by the high-masts at the apron edge only.
- Three street lights that stood next to taxi routes removed.
Night lighting
- Control tower: the curved fin glows as a white-blue LED strip, the cab is evenly lit, red obstruction lights on top.
- Emiri terminal: warm gold glazing and canopy undersides (the blue glow is gone).
- Mosque: the minaret glows amber with its lattice pattern, brighter arcade under the dome.
- Open car parks under the shade parasols have light poles now.
Landside
- Date palms reworked after real Doha photos: slimmer dark trunks, dense rising crowns, natural lean.
- Jet bridges: the canopy hood now bends onto the fuselage instead of standing flat in front of it.
Suggested by our customers
- Apron light poles at cargo gate Y14 and the service lanes (thanks, Dieter).
v1.1 (October 2026)
This is an interim update. We didn't want you flying the first version any longer than needed, so here is everything that's ready now.
Needs IGTEI Airport Library v1.1 (separate download, same serial). Before installing, delete every old IGTEI OTHH airport folder.
Plugins
- The airport now carries a small settings plugin (Plugins > IGTEI Doha (OTHH) > Settings): people / traffic density and the apron service vehicles, plus a check that the library is installed.
- Follow-Me, ground services and the ambience sound moved into the separate IGTEI OTHH Add-on Pack (Windows only for now). The airport runs fine without it.
Ground and apron
- New ground layer for the whole airport: aprons, taxiway shoulders, service yards and landside paving redrawn at airport scale, with own sign and marking atlases.
- Apron wear and dirt toned to match the real concrete.
Buildings
- Every support building rebuilt as its own IG PRO SIM model (cargo, MRO and hangars, fire stations, catering, fuel farm, offices, car parks, utility buildings), plus about 116 buildings that were missing.
- Container yards, fuel tanks, compound walls and fences, rock revetment along the water.
- Qatar flags and street banners now show the proper Qatar flag.
Landside
- New road network with flyovers and the elevated departures road, rebuilt from drive footage.
- Bridge piers now have hammerhead caps, bearing pads and formwork concrete.
- Moving road traffic with working head and tail lights at night; cars and taxis stopped at the departures kerb.
Life on the airport
- Ground vehicles drive the service roads (baggage trains, forklifts, trucks, fuel tanker).
- More service-truck destinations, so X-Plane's own ground services actually have somewhere to go.
- Density setting: Off / Low / Medium / High.
Night
- Roads, the departures deck, service yards and hangar aprons are lit (warm sodium on the expressways).
- Departures canopy underside has LED strip lighting.
- Hangar door floods now face the apron, and there are new high-masts in front of the hangars.
- Multi-storey car park roofs are evenly lit instead of a few hot spots.
- Billboard lights stay visible from far away, so the airport reads as a lit city on approach.
Performance
- Level-of-detail on most objects, compressed textures and fewer spill lights, aimed at mid-range PCs.
Fixes
- The crew car no longer parks under the jet bridge at gate 119.
- Removed a duplicate car texture and some leftover test files.
